WIRRAL's coastguard rescue team was called to the aid of a dogwalker who was stranded by the tide.
The team was called on Monday afternoon (October 28) to reports of a dog walker in difficulty on North Bank in New Brighton.
On arrival the person and dog had just made it off the bank. A member of the rescue team carried out a scan of the coastline to ensure nobody else was in danger of getting cut off.
The post on Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team's Facebook page read: "While it may look like there is a good stretch of sand, walkers can soon find themselves in trouble.
"Please check the tide times.
"If anyone spots anyone who may need assistance, they are urged to ring 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
