THE Coffee House is opening its second venue in Wirral.
A local, independent coffee shop chain, The Coffee House, is opening its 27th store in the Cherry Tree Shopping Centre in Liscard.
It is the second Coffee House location in Wirral after they opened their first store in Birkenhead’s, Pyramid Shopping Centre in February.
Founded in 2011, by brothers Chris and Stephen Shelmerdine, The Coffee House describes itself as a “community hub where locals can come together to enjoy fresh, handmade food and locally roasted coffee”.
Their signature house blend coffee is roasted in-house in Warrington with all food made fresh daily in their central production facility, including the bread, baked fresh each morning.
Co-founder Chris Shelmerdine said: "Our vision has always been to offer more than just great coffee—we want to bring life back to local high streets and shopping centres, especially during a time when many are struggling to thrive.
“We’re passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people can relax, connect, and enjoy high-quality food and drinks.
“By opening in Wallasey, we're not only expanding into the Wirral, but we're also playing a part in revitalising the local area, offering new job opportunities and a place for the community to come together and enjoy a good cup of coffee."
The opening of the Wallasey location will also create several new jobs in the area. Opportunities are available for Store Managers and Team Members at the Wallasey store.
Craig, the new store manager of The Coffee House Wallasey, said:"We’re thrilled to welcome the Wallasey community into The Coffee House family.
“We can't wait to become a part of this vibrant local area, fostering new connections and building a team of passionate locals.
“Our goal is to support each team member’s growth, offering not just a job, but the opportunity to truly develop.
“Here at The Coffee House, coffee is more than just a drink—it’s an experience, a moment of connection, and a spark of creativity.
“We believe in the value of our teams and are committed to providing an environment where you’re free to explore your potential.”
