A WIRRAL golf club is planning a 'huge' Christmas party event, open to members of the public and businesses looking for a festive night out.

Taking place at Leasowe Golf Club on Saturday, December 7, it will feature a festive buffet, disco, special guest and five drinks vouchers for just £40.

Leasowe Golf Club’s Amanda Coleman said: "We’ve had a really busy year of private functions, unsurprising due to our wonderful location, gorgeous sunsets over the estuary and no hire charge.

"We're looking forward to our Christmas party and welcoming members of the public to our friendly club to celebrate! It’s set to be a great night and great value too.”

The club dates back to 1891 and is described as in high demand for memberships due to its very reasonable membership fees, playability and its idyllic setting.

The club has recently opened a limited number of new member applications.
