BROWNIES from the 22nd Birkenhead North St Saviours pack have certainly lived up to their motto of helping others by raising money for the local Motor Neurone Disease Association group.
The youngsters raised 'a terrific' £235 by showing their various skills at a fun talent evening in the church hall in front of delighted family and friends.
Their activities, including magic tricks, playing the piano, dance and poetry reading, generously raised much needed funds for the MNDA group.
Brown Owl Jan Taylor explained that the children had learnt about the disease as part of their charity badge and it was the first time the pack had awarded the badge in relation to an adult charity.
Gratefully accepting a cheque for the donation, Group chairperson Debbie Williams told the girls, "Brownies is about learning to be kind and helpful and you have done exactly that."
