FLOODING has caused “major disruption” to Merseyrail train services near Ellesmere Port.
Due to heavy rain and flooding at Hooton the Chester line is disrupted.
Train services to Chester will be terminated at and started back from Hooton.
Rail replacement buses are running between Chester and Hooton in both directions.
Ticket acceptance is currently in place with Transport for Wales between Liverpool and Chester.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Rail replacement buses are available. We're working to drain the water as quickly as possible. Please check your journeys with Merseyrail or National Rail."
