MEET our dog of the week, Baxter, who needs your help to find a forever home.

The one-year-old Crossbreed is described as 'bouncy' and  a 'fantastic pup'. The team at Dogs Trust Merseyside is said to have 'fallen head over heels' for him.

This happy, friendly boy, sometimes forgets he’s quite large so the team feel it’s best that he lives with children of secondary school age as he may be a bit too boisterous for younger children!

Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Baxter makes us smile every day. He greets each day with complete enthusiasm so we're looking for a family who love his liveliness and would be happy to train him as he’s such a young boy.

"He has so much potential we can’t wait for him to find a forever family who can help him be the best he can be".

Georgina continued: "Baxter loves to say hello to everyone he meets when he’s out on his walks but he is happy in his kennel at the centre too, entertaining himself with toys and then wagging his tail when it’s time to play with his human friends or to have a fuss made of him.

"He's basically a very happy boy. Baxter could live with a well-matched dog of a similar size, pending a successful meet or two at the centre".
