THERE is disruption for Wirral and Chester line rail services this morning (Thursday, October 17).
Merseyrail say that due to signalling problems between Hoylake and West Kirby, services to West Kirby may be cancelled or delayed. Disruption is expected until 10.30am.
Due to heavy rain flooding the railway at Hooton station, commuters using Chester and Ellesmere Port line services face disruption until at least 2pm. Services from Ellesmere Port have been suspended between Rock Ferry and Ellesmere Port.
A replacement bus service is taking passengers from Ellesmere Port to Rock Ferry via Hooton in both directions until further notice. Arrangements have also been made for Merseyrail rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
Trains are running between Rock Ferry and Liverpool.
Services to Chester have also been suspended between Rock Ferry and Chester. A replacement bus service is conveying passengers between Rock Ferry and Chester via Hooton in both directions until further notice. Arrangements have been made for Merseyrail rail tickets to be accepted for these journeys.
Services on the New Brighton line are currently described as 'good'.
