LISCARD-based St Paul's Musical Theatre Company's latest production is being staged this week.

Made in Dagenham - the musical is at The Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight from tomorrow (Wednesday, October 16) to Saturday, October 19.

Inspired by a true story and based on the hit movie Made in Dagenham, the show is described as 'an uplifting British musical comedy about friendship, love and the importance of fighting for what is right'.

But life is about to change forever when it is announced that the girls in the stitching room of Ford’s Dagenham car plant will have their pay grade dropped to ‘unskilled’.

Quickly drawing on a strength she never knew she had, Rita leads her friends in a battle against the might of Ford and the corruption of the Union supposed to protect them.

Described as 'funny, touching and timeless', Made in Dagenham aims to show how ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they stand together.

The production is directed by Brenda Davies with music direction by Sian James.
