DRIVERS in and around Wirral will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• M53, from 9pm October 16 to 5am October 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 southbound, junction 2 to junction 3 - lane closure for drainage.
• M53, from 9pm October 17 to 5am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 northbound, one to 2 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of National Highways.
• A41, from 9.30am to 3pm on October 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A550 northbound and southbound, Hooton Green to M53, junction 5 lane closures due to grass cutting.
• M53, from 8pm October 24 to 5am October 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M53 both directions, junction 3 to junction 5 - lane closure for inspection/survey.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
