THERE is “major disruption” on Wirral train services currently.
Train services to Ellesmere Port have been cancelled, delayed and suspended between Rock Ferry and Hooton.
Merseyrail announced this afternoon (Monday, October 14) that due to a broken down train at Bebington, services on the Chester and Ellesmere Port lines were facing disruption.
Rail replacement buses have been requested between Rock Ferry and Hooton.
A Merseyrail spokesperson said: “Due to a broken down train at Bebington the Chester and Ellesmere Port line is disrupted. Disruption is expected until 13:15 14/10.
“Train services to Ellesmere Port may be cancelled, delayed or suspended between Rock Ferry and Hooton.
