A WIRRAL wine bar and eatery has achieved a five-star food hygiene rating.
Arthur’s in Hoylake was given the status after working with food hygiene consultant Katy Elliott.
Through her company, 5 Star Food Safety, Katy is said to put a bespoke and easy to use system in place that is said to guarantee a businesses a five-star rating if they follow it.
Located on Market Street, Arthur’s is described as 'a stylish and popular wine bar and eatery that serves brunch, lunch, delicious small plates and Sunday roasts'.
After working with Katy to implement a bespoke system and running test inspections, when environmental health did their random inspection they passed with the highest rating possible.
Arthur’s marks Katy’s 60th success and maintains her 100% success rate for her clients.
From pubs and restaurants to hotels and food manufacturers, Katy keeps her clients and their customers safe at all times.
She has more than 25 years' experience in the industry.

Food hygiene ratings can make or break a business. Whilst 0 ratings can cause irreparable damage to a business' reputation, a five-star rating is a great marketing tool and something to shout about - not to mention the possibility of poisoning or even killing a customer due to poor hygiene, allergens or intolerances.
Katy added: "It’s a real minefield and key reasons for not achieving 5 stars are no food safety management system, failure to follow one, lack of knowledge, lack of staff training, bad habits or simply being too busy.
"Sometimes even just not filling out paperwork can cause a business to fail. I’m on a mission to bridge the gap and protect businesses and their customers."
