At around 4.30am, two teams of two firefighters were using main water hoses to tackle the blaze on the ground floor of the warehouse. One team of two firefighters used a high pressure hose reel in the ground floor office, and one main jet used to fight the fire externally.

By 5am, firefighters were hotspotting in the warehouse and checking for fire spread in the office area while external firefighting was still underway.

Hotspotting continued while crews also monitored the condition of adjacent buildings. By 6.30am, the incident was scaled down to four fire engines.

Crews are currently damping down the scene.

Lorn Street is expected to remain closed off for most of the day as an investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
