DEB Googe, formerly of My Bloody Valentine and Primal Scream, is coming to Future Yard in Birkenhead.

Bass guitarist Da Googie will be performing her dark and experimental solo project on Friday, December 6

Da Googie blends traditional bass lines with abstract noises and field recordings, creating intricate, layered soundscapes that captivate and challenge the listener.

Supporting Da Googie is Loop Fader — the brainchild of multidisciplinary local artist Simon Kilgallon. Loop Fader is an ambient, retro-futurist, and experimental audio-visual electronica project utilising masterful analogue and digital looping, as well as additive and subtractive synthesis.

Wirral based music project, Events 471 are putting on the event. 471’s Carrick Moran said: “We set out to do things differently — to give local up and coming artists a platform and a fair deal, whilst bringing some huge names to Wirral.

“We’ve had some great success stories with local artists who have come through whilst we’ve brought legends such as Anika Nilles and Everything Yes to Wirral. Meanwhile we’ve been showcasing poetry and art.

“Bringing Da Googie and Loop Fader to Future Yard is a great example of our diversity — we’re not afraid of the experimental and obscure.

“It’s an honour to be bringing one of the UK’s most renowned bass players to Future Yard and the night promises to be a multi-sensory experience with other worldly sounds.”
