MEET our dog of the week, Lily, who needs your help to find a forever home.
The seven-year-old Cocker Spaniel Cross has, unfortunately, found herself back at Dogs Trust Merseyside following a change in her owner’s circumstances.
She is described by staff at the rehoming centre as 'a gentle girl who loves to be with people' and although happy to walk with calm dogs when she’s out and about, would like to be the only dog in the home, but would be happy to share her home with older teenagers.
Lily is said to have formed a close bond with the people caring for her at the centre, but the team has noticed that she can be quite jealous if her people give each other attention rather than her, so she could suit a single person household.
Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Lily is a lovely girl. She is a sensitive, sweet soul so she might take a little time to settle in but when she knows she has found her forever home, her family will have a very loyal companion.
"She doesn't like to be left home alone so would benefit from having someone around all the time or would be happy to join them wherever they are going.
"She likes to be made a fuss of with gentle strokes and kind words and she really will make a lovely addition to a family."
