Electric vans manufactured at the Ellesmere Port factory continue to dominate the market, latest figures have revealed.
According to the latest registration figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), Peugeot took the crown for the best-selling electric van brand in the UK, with Vauxhall following closely behind in second place.
The new Peugeot E-Partner is manufactured at Ellesmere Port, the UK's first elecrtic vehicle-only volume manufacturing plant, and was the UK's best-selling small e-LCV (light commercial vehicle) in September.
Collectively, Stellantis brands have sold 5,877 electric vans so far this year, almost three times more than the second best-selling electric van manufacturer, with a market share of 41.83 per cent year-to-date (excluding pick-ups and off-roaders).
Lee Titchner, director of Stellantis ProOne UK, said: “The continued success of Stellantis in the electric van sector highlights our commitment to electrifying Britain's commercial fleets.
"With brands like Peugeot and Vauxhall consistently leading sales this year, Stellantis firmly holds its position as the market leader for electric LCVs in the UK.”
Stellantis accounts for almost a third of all vans sold in the UK so far this year, equating to 71,219 vans registered in 2024. In the overall LCV market, Vauxhall is the UK’s third best-selling brand, while the Citroën Berlingo is the best-selling small van so far this year.
