The car was driven at him hitting him on his elbow causing minor injury.
Two men, including Martin Ward of Main Road in Collin, Dumfries, got out of the car and chased and assaulted the man with a baseball bat.

The bottle was recovered by police and the substance was tested. It was found to have low levels of ammonia.
Ward, 38, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday (October 2) where he was jailed after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was sentenced to 15 months in prison.
