A WIRRAL animal rescue charity has announced the closure of another one of its charity shops.
Jackson Animal Rescue, which rescues and rehomes animals in Wirral and across Merseyside, announced that it would be closing its charity shop in Wrexham at the end of November.
The charity thanked customers and staff for the support they had shown the Egerton Street shop over the last three years.
It is the second closure the charity has faced after it announced it would be closing its Hoylake Road Moreton store in November last year.
In a statement, the charity said: “Some sad news to share, unfortunately, our Wrexham charity shop will be closing at the end of November.
“With rent and utility bills always climbing, it’s become increasingly difficult to keep our charity shops profitable.
“Firstly, we want to thank all of our customers over the last three years, we are incredibly grateful to you all for supporting us, and we are sorry that you will be losing this charity shop!
“And a massive thank you to our Wrexham shop team of staff and volunteers who have worked incredibly hard over the last few years.
“The shop has a fairly healthy stock of donations that we must sell over the next eight weeks, so we are unable to take any more charity shop donations at Wrexham now.
“We will be having huge clearance sale from now, for the next eight weeks so please visit us to grab some bargains.”
