A MAN has died after a car struck a tree, police have confirmed.
Police were called to Pensby Road, Pensby at 1.25pm on Friday (September 27) to reports a Mercedes car had collided with a tree.
The driver, a man in his 70s, is believed to have suffered a medical episode at the wheel, Merseyside Police confirmed.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance but despite the efforts of medics he died a short time later.
