PEOPLE living in one area of Wirral will win thousands of pounds on Saturday (September 29).

Hundreds of Wirral residents are celebrating today after learning that they’ve scooped a multi-million-pound prize on People’s Postcode Lottery.

A total of 248 neighbours in the CH46 7 area of Moreton have landed a share of £3.2 million in the lottery’s Postcode Millions prize – but the biggest winners have yet to be revealed.

Players in the winning postcode sector have landed cash prizes ranging from £5,904 to £29,520, depending on how many tickets they play with.

The full winning postcode will be announced by midday on Saturday, September 28.

Anyone playing with the drawn postcode will take home the largest cash prizes.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “What a wonderful surprise for hundreds of Wirral residents. I’m sure the town will be buzzing with excitement today!

“I can’t wait to celebrate the town’s win on Saturday as we reveal the postcode that’s won the biggest prizes!”

Local good causes close to the winners in Wirral have benefitted from money raised by Postcode Lottery players. Ahead Of The Game Foundation received £25,000 last year. The funding provided training and equipment for the charity’s staff to run free weekly physical therapy sessions for people living with cancer in Merseyside.

How it works

People’s Postcode Lottery costs £12 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day. People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws.

Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £1.3 billion for thousands of charities and local good causes.

Prizes include ‘Millionaire Street’ – a £1 million prize every Saturday, £30K on Sundays and a multi-million-pound prize is won each month.

This prize was promoted on behalf of Postcode Support Trust which supports organisations including Crisis UK, Missing People and Royal Voluntary Service.
