FILMING for a new series of a CBeebies show will take place in a Wirral village next week.
Ninja Pig Productions is currently in production on the fourth series of the popular CBeebies show, Andy and the Band.
Described as ‘modern day Monkees, musicians Andy and the Odd Socks consist of vocalist Andy, guitarist Rio, drummer Moxy, bassist Blu and keyboardist Cousin Mac.
In every episode, Andy and his musical mates embark on a mission or ‘odd job’ which involves them helping one of their fans.
The band released an album in 2022 and is completing a three-month tour around the UK in August last year.
Now filming for the fourth series will take place at Willaston Village on Monday, September 30 from 8am until 7pm.
The crew will begin filming at Hadlow Road Station before moving onto their second location at Style and Beauty on Neston Road.
It is the second time the production has filmed part of the show in Wirral.
The cast and crew were spotted at Fort Perch Rock in New Brighton on June 28, 2023 filming for series three of the children's programme.
The New Brighton location was chosen for a pirate-themed episode called Scarybeard.
A spokesperson for Ninja Pig Productions said: “Ninja Pig Productions are currently in production of the fourth series of the popular CBeebies show Andy and with Band.
“To facilitate our filming we will have several technical vehicles and trucks, which we will look to park as close to our location as possible. We have been granted permission to park our vehicles in Hadlow Road Station and in the restricted bays of Neston Road, outside of Spar and Style and Beauty.
“Parking will still be made available for residents and visitors at both locations.
“We have been liaising with Cheshire West and Chester Council, who are aware of our activities on this day.
“We understand that we are guests in your area and we will do our utmost to minimize any disruption to residents and businesses when we can.”
