A WIRRAL school is hosting a concert this weekend to celebrate 60 years since it opened.
'CastleFest' is taking place at Castleway Primary School in Leasowe on Saturday (September 21).
The event, organised by the school in partnership with In Demand Radio, will feature performances from N-Trance and 2Funky2, as well as performances from DJs Lee Butler, Steve Cocky and John B.
Also taking to the stage will be local musicians Mandi Fisher and ExtravaDance.
CastleFest promises to be 'a fun-filled day for all the family', with inflatables, stalls, food, licenced bar, face painting, hair art and so much more.
The school is described by headteacher, Stuart Mycroft as 'a tightknit community school' which prides itself on collaboration and positive relationships.
Mr Mycroft said: "Castleway is a special place and we’re delighted to be celebrating this significant milestone for our school.
"Over the years, Castleway has welcomed many amazing individuals through our doors, who have gone on to achieve fabulous things in life. Some ex-pupils are now part of our staff team too."
Mr Mycroft added: "Our children and families really are at the heart of everything we do. Our motto is ‘Be kind. Be confident. Be your best.’ and we understand that a happy and successful school community is built on nurturing open relationships between us all.
"We’d would love it if everyone came together and joined us for this day of joy and celebration.”
