A MAN has been taken to hospital following an attack in Ellesmere Port.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Sutton Way on Thursday, September 5.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and information following the incident, having made an arrest.
A spokesperson for Cheshire police said: "At 7.31pm on Thursday, September 5, police were called to an assault in Sutton Way in Ellesmere Port.
"A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital while officers made a search of the area for three suspects.
"A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a section 18 assault, affray and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. Enquiries are continuing.
