STAFF at a Wirral day centre for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities have praised the 'magnificent community effort' that led to the unveiling of a brand-new cycle track.

Pensby Wood Day Centre provides a varied timetable of activities and sensory experiences, with the new cycle track along, with three wheelchair bikes, part of the provision of day services from Wirral Council.

A spokesperson for the centre said: "Parents, carers, staff and people supported by the centre and many local businesses have been involved in fundraising since 2018 to make this very special facility a reality.

"The accessible bikes will provide an amazing sensory experience for the adults who attend the service.
