A WIRRAL-BASED massage therapist who aims to bring 'the magic of Sri Lankan massage' to Merseyside has enjoyed stellar reviews since launching his business earlier this year.

Daniel Ebenezer owns D Stress Massage, based at The Yoga Hub on Old Hall Street in Liverpool and at Deborah’s Style House in Moreton, and clients are said to have been raving about his 'healing hands'.

Through D Stress Massage, Daniel offers a range of therapies - from head, foot, back and shoulder to sports, full body and a sauna and massage combo.

He also offers the spiritual practice of ayurvedic massage from his native Sri Lanka.

Whether it’s a relaxing fix for city centre professionals at lunch or after work, a sports massage for pain or a full two-hour pamper, Daniel promises to have you leaving 'floating on air'.

Daniel and his young family moved to Wirral from Sri Lanka in 2022 and Daniel practises massage whilst his wife studies to be a nurse.

He says that thanks to a combination of 'many rave reviews and word of mouth', D Stress Massage has taken off even better than expected - particularly amongst those with pain and sports injuries - however the family had to endure great hardship initially.

Daniel explained: "When we first moved to Moreton we weren't financially settled as my wife started studying to become a registered nurse here.

"We joined the church and people were so kind and supportive, we instantly felt at home. For our first Christmas we couldn’t afford any presents for our children, but our neighbour Jacky brought us an endless amount of presents for them.

"It was unbelievable".

Daniel continued: "I posted in local Facebook groups to say how grateful we are to the local community — the people here are really so very special and have made us feel at home.

"I decided to set up my massage business whilst my wife trains to be a nurse and thanks to all the reviews it’s going even better than I expected."

In addition to offering a personal bespoke service to suit an individual’s needs, Daniel offers gift vouchers if you’re looking to give someone a special treat and corporate services for workplace wellbeing.

He works on a free consultation basis to ensure the most suitable massage is given and is careful to ensure the correct pressure is delivered.

Daniel said: "When I was a child in Sri Lanka, I used to give my mother massages and I was so good at it that she made me give her them regularly.

"I actually became a pharmacist back home but after she passed away I thought about what I did for her and so decided to develop my skills in a professional way - qualifying in sports massage and ayurvedic massage."

He continued: "To bring these skills to help the people of Merseyside is a great honour for me, especially as the people here have been so good to my family.

"The name Ebenezer means 'helping hands' in my country and that is exactly what I am doing with my hands — helping people.

"Soon I am planning to give back further by offering free massages to charities and those in need."
