A SPANISH fiesta promising 'live music, incredible tapas offers and free sangria on arrival' is set to return to New Brighton Bar and Lounge later this month after a 'hugely successful' first event.

Taking place at the venue on Victoria Road in New Brighton on Friday, September 13, from 7.30pm, it will feature performances from Los Amigos - described as 'Merseyside’s alternative ‘Fab Four’.

On the night there will, according to the promoter, be 'a high energy performance from one of the best party bands around, quality tapas dishes from the talented chefs, free sangria and a fiesta like no other'.

Los Amigos will play Latino classics from Ricky Martin to La Bamba and British and American rock classics 'with a Latino twist'.

The event is free to attend, although table bookings are essential as the first event was a storming success.

Susan McQuade, manager of New Brighton Bar & Lounge, said: "The first Spanish night was an incredible success and the feedback was amazing.

"The place was packed and it was such a great party atmosphere.

"We've worked really hard to build up our reputation of being a thriving destination with something for everyone -offering fantastic food and drink seven days a week and great entertainment every weekend."

She continued: "I’m really proud of the team for all their hard work and to the chefs for consistently putting out quality dishes from the breakfasts at weekends to the pub classics and specials to the Sunday roasts that are also available on Wednesdays.

"As a hotel we're busier than ever and as a venue and restaurant we’re booming so we’re definitely doing something right."
