A PENSIONER was arrested following an incident in Moreton at the weekend.
Police were called to a house in The Heathlands in Moreton on Saturday, August 31 following concerns for a woman in her 70s who had been admitted to hospital.
A 79-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said the woman remains in hospital in a stable condition.
