THE Mysterines have cancelled all their upcoming tour dates.

The Liverpool and Wirral rockers were set to begin their autumn tour dates starting in Dublin next month.

However the four-piece announced on Saturday (August 31) that the tour would not be going ahead.

A statement posted on the bands social media pages read: “It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates due to recent circumstances.

“We were incredibly excited to share this tour with you, but after careful consideration, it has been decided that it’s not the best decision for us at this time.

“We sincerely apologise to everyone who was looking forward to seeing us perform, and we are deeply sorry for the disappointment this will cause.

“Please know that your support means the world to us, ticket refunds are available from point of purchase.

“Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time. With love always, The Mysterines x.”

The band, comprised of Lia Metcalfe (vocals/guitar), George Favager (bass), Callum Thompson (guitar) and Paul Crilly (drums), released their new album Afraid of Tomorrows on June 21 via Fiction Records.

The album, which was the second album released by the band, reached number 11 in the official charts.

The group appeared at various festival over the summer including Truck Festival and Tramlines. They also supported Bloc Party on their 20th anniversary show at Crystal Palace Park in London on July 7.
