KOALA North West has announced it will be “permanently closing” its charity shop in Moreton.
The charity announced on Thursday (August 29) with a “heavy heart” that it would be closing its Moreton charity shop on Hoylake Road.
Koala North West is a charitable organisation based in Wirral, providing support for families with children aged 0-11 including breastfeeding peer support, SEND services, family support, and sleep support.
In a post on social media, the charity thanked its customers, donors, staff and local community for their support and effort over the years.
A statement read: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of our Moreton Charity Shop.
“We would like to thank all customers, donors and hard-working staff for all their support and effort over the years.
“We would also like to thank the local community who embraced the store and helped make it such a happy environment.
“Our Claughton shop is still open. Please drop any donations there. We appreciate your continued support.
“The address is: Koala North West Charity Shop, Claughton Village, 48 Upton Road, Wirral, CH41 0DF.”
Commenting under the post, customers shared their sadness at the news.
Emma Harris said: “Actually gutted it was my favourite Moreton charity shop!”
Paula Chasteauneuf-Macdougall added: “Omg that’s awful news xxx.”
