NESS Botanic Gardens is welcoming back its summer plant fair.

Ness Botanic Gardens have teamed up with Plant Hunters’ Fairs again to run their popular late summer plant fair on Sunday, September 1.

The fair will be held in the self-contained herb garden by the main car park and will offer a variety of plants and flowers for plant lovers to choose from.

Organiser Martin Blow said: “Now’s the time to make the most of the late summer sun and get out and enjoy your garden and Plant Hunters’ Fairs are a great place to pick up some plants to add some late colour to your garden or even to get ahead for next year with bulbs and plants to get planted now for next year’s colour.

“If you need some advice to help you choose then there are nursery folk on hand to help, each an expert in their field with years of knowledge and experience, and full of helpful tips, so why not pop in and pick up some wonderful, traditionally grown plants from these family run nurseries.”

“So, whether it’s alpines, shrubs, bee-friendly perennials, herbs, wildflowers, variegated or foliage plants you are sure to find something to fill those gaps and create a blooming brilliant garden. Plus, for those of you who like house plants, there will be a great range available from the excellent multi award winning Dibleys Nursery.”

Plant Hunters’ Fairs started in 2007 by Janet and Martin Blow from Cheshire.

All nurseries and artisans are personally selected on the quality and their knowledge of their plants and products.

Entry to the plant fair is £1 and free parking is available. Dogs on leads are welcome at the fair, but not in the main garden. The plant fair runs from 10am-4pm.
