Hoylake 10k

A COASTAL 10km run is set to return to Wirral next month after organisers decided to bring it back after five years.

The Hoylake 10k Coastal Fun Run, on Sunday, September 22, will be back for its 26th year and will help raise funds for the UTS Foundation, based in the town.

The event is well established in the Wirral community, consistently attracting hundreds of runners from across the region.

Pride day

WIRRAL Pride is returning to New Brighton this weekend for its third year.

Taking place on Saturday (August 31) New Brighton Pride/Pride on the Wirral will be held on Victoria Road and around the Victoria Quarter.

The event will start at 10.30am with a muster on stage before speeches from members of Wirral’s LGBT+ community.

There will be a full line up of entertainment throughout the day including local talent Mandi Fisher who will be singing on stage.

The stage will be hosted by Married At First Sight’s Thomas Hartley who will perform as their drag alter ego Pam Sandwich.

There will also be a Pride market which will include street stalls as well as an internal market at The Oakland Gallery.

Craft fair

PENINSULA Arts and Crafts Association's craft fair is at Hoylake Parade Community Centre this Saturday (August 31) from 10.30am-3.30pm. The event is dog friendly, wheelchair accessible.

Rock 'n' roll

THE Cheshire Cats rock'n'roll fundraising nights are on Wednesdays from 7.30pm-11pm at The Poulton Victoria Club on Poulton Bridge Road, Wallasey.

There is music from the 1950s, '60s, '70s and country music from resident bands plus one guest band every week. All funds raised help local sick children. Claire House is the main benefactor. Admission £1.50.

Chat and craft
