A OWL, hedgehog and bee activity day is coming to Birkenhead Priory.
On Saturday, August 17 the priory’s monk’s refectory will welcome people to meet a variety of animals including owls from Moonshine Owl Sanctuary and an observational bee hive behind glass with Flourish and Ford Way.
The event will also host craft workshops where children can create owl masks, wooden owls and hedgehogs gifts, make a wish jar, decorate butterflies, hedgehogs, and bees.
Refreshments will also be available or the option to picnic on the grounds.
10am – 11am: Storytime, Song & Craft
Suitable for children aged two-five to listen to stories, sing songs (with shakers and bells provided too), and make owl masks and draw pictures.

12-3pm: Owl & Hedgehog Day
FREE, no booking required
Get close to owls and hedgehogs with visitors from The Moonshine Owl Sanctuary and meet the Wirral Hedgehog Rescue and learn all about hedgehogs and how we can help them. See how they live in their hedgehog boxes.
12 – 1.30pm or 2pm– 3.30pm: Nature Crafternoons
Nature-themed crafts for kids to make and take home.
