A campaign has been launched to recruit more members of Wirral's School Crossing Patrol team.
Urging people to sign up for the roles, a Wirral Council statement read: "If you, or someone you know, can spare up to an hour each morning and afternoon to help keep children safe as they arrive and leave school – our road safety team would love to hear from you.
"Please contact roadsafety@wirral.gov.uk or call Kathy on 07712133719 or Debbie on 07712133720 to have an informal chat about the role and they can direct you on how to apply."
Among the crossing patrol team is Paul, who said: “I was looking for a job where I could give something back to the community and this seemed to fit the part.
“You get to meet people, interact people and take care of the kids crossing the road.
“It’s a great job, overall, brilliant.”
