Ten beauty salons and technicians made the shortlist for the latest Best of 2024 award and Ivy Lash Studio has taken this year’s coveted crown officially giving the area’s best glow up.
Lauran Evans is the owner of Ivy Lash Studio on Upton Road in Claughton Village.
She has always lived in the village and knew it was where she wanted to start her own last business in 2017.
Initially, she worked from a beauty room at home before opening up the studio in February last year.
Lauran, who is 30, said: “Working from home was very rewarding but also very lonely.
“Talking to other beauticians, I discovered that they felt the same way so when I opened Ivy Lash Studio 18 months ago, I was able to expand the business and allow other girls to work from the premises.
“I trained first in nails and then went on to lash extensions.
“It was then that I discovered that lashes were my passion and I went on to complete many more courses and qualifications to upskill and learn new techniques and styles, enabling me to bring the best to my clients.
“My vision was a one stop shop for clients to be pampered from head to toe and I feel that with Ivy Lash Studio we are close to achieving this.”
Lauran and the talented team at Ivy Lash Studio offer a wide range of beauty treatments – Lauran, Georgia and Rochelle offer lashes and Alisha offers nails and pedicures with Leah providing brow treatments and lash lifts and Kelsey has a range of aesthetics and massages and facials together with makeup artist Kelsey.
They offer training courses for lashes and brows as well as refresher courses and a Japanese head spa is coming soon to the studio.
Lauran said: “Since opening the studio, we have had so many new faces come through our door and we love the relationships we build with our clients.
“We class a lot of our regulars as friends and love our catch ups, hearing about their lives.
“We are there for all of their life events, from first dates to babies to weddings and holidays. “It doesn’t ever feel like work - with the buzz of the salon and friendly faces it’s more like catching up with friends.”
What do customers and clients at Ivy Lash Studio think of the business? Why did they think Lauran and the team deserved to win our latest Best of 2024 award?
One happy client said: “Definitely the best.”
Another said: “Claughton Village, the girls there are amazing, such a great salon everything in one place, absolutely love it.”
Lauran said: “When our clients started nominating us to be shortlisted for Wirral’s Best for Beauty, it was so lovely to see the support we have from everyone.
“When we heard the good news that we’d won, we couldn’t wait to share it with them.
“It’s because of their love and support that we have won.”
She added: “All the girls at Ivy lash Studio would like to thank all our clients, family and friends for their continued support, as we wouldn’t be where we are today without you all.
“It really means so much to each and everyone of us.”
