TWO men have been bailed pending further enquiries as an investigation into the death of a man found at a house on the Beechwood estate continues.
Just before 4pm on Thursday (August 1), police received a report of a concern for safety of a man in his 20s at an address on Fender Way.
The man has been formally identified and his next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will take place to establish his cause of death.
Two men, aged 43 and 27, from Beechwood were arrested on suspicion of murder and they have now been bailed with investigations ongoing into the man's death.
In a statement on Friday (August 2) Merseyside Police said there is no wider threat to people in the community.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter Stephenson said: "Our sincere condolences continue to remain with the family of the man who has died.
“An investigation is underway with officers carrying out enquires to establish exactly what happened.
“We continue to urge anyone who may have seen or know something that might help with the investigation to please contact us.”
