POLICE are investigating after a man was 'suddenly' injured outside a chip shop in Ellesmere Port.

Officers were called to the scene on Milton Road at around 7pm on Thursday.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “Police were called to Milton Road in Ellesmere Port following a report of a man being injured.

“He had been standing outside the chip shop when he suddenly felt his head bleeding.

“The injury was described as a superficial graze, but it was not determined what had caused the injury.

“Police are making enquiries in the area to establish what had taken place.”
