POLICE enquiries are ongoing after a dog was attacked by another dog in a Wirral park.
On Saturday night, July 27, at around 5.45pm police received a report that a Staffordshire bull terrier dog which was off its lead had bitten a second dog in New Ferry Park.
The attack left one dog with injuries to its face.
The man in charge of the first dog also reportedly made verbal threats to members of the public.
Merseyside Police is now appealing for information following the attack.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “The dogs were identified and the incident was recorded pending further enquiries.
“Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact @MerPolCC with reference 24000654638.”
