The Ice Cream Shop in West Kirby has been honoured with Family Business of the Year and Newcomer (Family Business) at the Business Awards UK.
The shop has also been nominated for the Women's Business Awards.

Ring doorbell captures Wirral schoolgirl’s act of kindness
A Wirral schoolgirl has been praised for an act of goodwill after it was captured on a Ring doorbell.
At around 9.40am on Sunday (July 21), nine-year-old Luna Jay Phoenix Price was walking to the park with her friend when she stopped outside a house on Alverstone Road in Wallasey.

A Wirral couple who are responsible for a popular Hoylake restaurant say it was “love at first bite”.
20 years ago, Julian and Jackie Davies had grand plans to open a restaurant in Wirral.
The pair scraped together as much money as they could with Julian even selling his beloved motorbike and opened Julian’s Restaurant on Birkenhead Road in Hoylake.

Three women from Wirral have been revealed as winners at the Merseyside Women of the Year Awards 2024.

The Wirral drag queen inspiring young people to ‘be who they want to be’
A Wirral drag queen is hoping to inspire the younger generation to “be who they want to be”.
Ryan Hoey, from Wallasey, became inspired to start drag a year and a half ago after watching RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
The 30-year-old Premier Inn manager now wants to share his journey into drag in a bid to encourage young people to “step out of their comfort zone”.
