A SERIES of environmental days were held on Wirral estates to help them “improve”.

Three community environmental days were held on the Beechwood, Woodchurch, and Noctorum estates to help improve the area.

The days, which were held in May, saw 17.2 tonnes of waste removed via skips/trucks, 53 litter bags filled, 278 doors knocked and residents spoken with, 59 home safety checks completed by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS), and 30 new smoke alarms installed by MFRS.

A spokesperson for Mersyeside police said: “Together we can make a difference to those living and working in EVOLVE neighbourhoods. If you have any information about crime call us on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“Alternatively, you can make an anonymous online report here: https://orlo.uk/RrZQP.”
