A WIRRAL schoolgirl has been praised for an act of goodwill after it was captured on a Ring doorbell.
At around 9.40am on Sunday (July 21), nine-year-old Luna Jay Phoenix Price was walking to the park with her friend when she stopped outside a house on Alverstone Road in Wallasey.
While walking past, she shouted out ‘everyone here has a beautiful house including you!’.
A resident, who captured and shared the footage from her Ring doorbell on Facebook, said: “To the parent/s of this young lady can I just say you’ve raised an outstandingly beautiful human being thank you.
“This little girl walked past Alverstone Road this morning around 9.40am and said, ‘everyone here has a very beautiful house including you!’.
“What a sweetheart! Made me laugh she clocked my door cam as well.
“If the parents are here well done for raising such a polite young lady you should be very proud. Can you thank her for me as I’ve had such an awful week and she’s literally an angel for making me genuinely smile today.”
Following the social media post, Luna’s mum, Holly Jay Waudby, said Luna was “overwhelmed” by the kind comments.
The 37-year-old told the Globe: “Luna was at her dad’s house at the time and walking to the park with her friend, so I didn’t initially know what had happened until I saw the social media post.
“She does it all the time while she’s out and about. She’s always shouting ‘nice cat, nice house or nice garden’ so I wasn’t surprised when I saw the post she’s a really sweet girl.
“I’m so happy and really proud that she’s made people smile. She’s a really positive person.
“I showed her the comments under the post and she was overwhelmed it took her about an hour to get through them all.
“She’s been feeling a bit down recently due to some bullying going on at school with people picking on her with horrible comments so this really cheered her up.
“She was so happy seeing all the lovely comments and they’re really impacted her in a positive way. As a treat I took her out to buy some new trainers she’s been wanting for months.
“It just shows that one small positive thing can have a bigger outcome than what you might expect.”
