Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery by two teenagers on a cyclist in Ellesmere Port.

At around 3.12pm on Monday, July 15, a 20-year-old man was cycling down an alleyway near to Regent Street, Ellesmere Port, when he was stopped by two unknown boys, believed to be aged around 16 years old.

One of the boys pulled a metal bar from his coat sleeve and struck the victim several times, knocking him from his bike.

The two suspects proceeded to kick the victim, taking his bike and backpack and then fled the area in the direction of Princes Road on the victim's bike.

Following a search of the area, officers located the victim's mobile phone, but were unable to trace the suspects.

Police say one of the boys is described as white and was wearing a grey tracksuit and black hooded top at the time of the incident. The second boy is also described as white and was in all dark clothing.

Enquiries in relation to this incident are currently ongoing and, as part of their investigation, officers are appealing to anyone with information or video footage to get in touch.
