THERE were 233 babies born in Wirral in June 2024 – did you welcome a new arrival?
Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust collates all the baby-related data every month detailing how many babies are born – boys and girls – whether there are any sets of twins or triplets and how babies are delivered.
There are stats for the number of babies born at Wirral Women and Children’s Hospital and how many are born at home or at Seacombe Birth Centre as well as the how many new arrivals were breast fed.
They also record the busiest day each month for births and whether babies are born on their due date, a little early or a little late.
There were 233 babies born in Wirral last month – 125 boys and 108 girls with one set of twins.
Some 120 were vaginal births with 89 caesarean sections and 24 babies were born via ventouse or forceps delivery with 98 inductions.
There were three home or community births and five water births and 155 babies were breast fed.
Only eight babies arrived on their due date with 165 arriving early and 60 coming late.
June 5 was the busiest day of the month with 15 babies being welcomed into the world.
