THREE women have been arrested after it was reported that a van was driven through the gates of a Wirral factory before it was covered in red paint.

At around 4.45pm on Thursday, July 4, protestors from Palestine Action allegedly shut down the Teledyne Technologies 'Teledyne CML Composites' factory on Tebay Road in Bromborough.

Merseyside Police were called to the factory and arrested three women.

A 40-year-old woman from Toxteth was arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass; going equipped for criminal damage; possession of an offensive weapon; and criminal damage

A 30-year-old woman from Hackney, London was arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass; criminal damage; possession of an offensive weapon; and dangerous driving.

A 20-year-woman from Aigburth was arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass and criminal damage.

All three remain in custody at the time of writing.

Teledyne Technologies have been approached for comment.
