A SERIAL shoplifter who breached his licence conditions following his release from prison has been jailed again.

Kevin Rutter, 33, of London Road, Sandbach was charged with 13 counts of theft from shops and has been recalled to prison.

At around 9.05am yesterday (Thursday, July 4) officers received a report that a 32-year-old man who was wanted on a recall to prison for theft offences and a breach of his licence conditions was seen on Old Chester Road in Bebington.

Officers tracked the man’s movements and spotted him coming out of New Ferry Park into the subway in the area.

Officers chased and detained the man who was later arrested on suspicion of theft. He was later charged and returned to custody.
