THERE are no services on the Mersey Ferries today or this weekend because of 'an ongoing technical issue' the operator has confirmed.
An X post read: "Due to an ongoing technical issue, all services remain suspended today (Friday) & will not operate over the weekend Our teams are working hard to restore a full service. Keep checking back for further updates."
Services have been suspended since Wednesday. Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, which operates the ferries, has been contacted for more details on what the 'ongoing technical issue' is.
The ferries' commuter service was suspended for two days last week due to “operational issues” caused by a “delay on its passenger licensing approvals” meaning boats were unable to sail.
