MERSEYSIDE Police has issued CCTV images of a man who could have information after a vehicle was stolen in New Brighton.
Although his face is unclear due to the quality of the images, officers are hoping that members of the public may recognise his build and distinctive clothing.
At around 8pm on Saturday, May 18, it was reported that the keys to a Red SEAT Mii which were stored at Prezzo’s restaurant in Kings Parade were taken along with the car that was parked at Travel Lodge Car Park.
Following an investigation into the incident officers analysed CCTV footage from the area which showed an unknown man entering the car park at about 2.40pm and taking the vehicle.
As part of the ongoing investigation, the force are now releasing CCTV images of a man who could have information.
Detective Inspector Peter Rexwinkel said: “We believe the male pictured could have information to help our ongoing investigation. Although it’s difficult to make out his face on the CCTV images, we hope that someone may recognise him from his clothing or build.
“Similarly, if you were driving in the area on the evening of Saturday 18 May or have potential CCTV or dashcam footage that can assist us please get in touch. You can find more information and advice around stopping vehicle theft on our website.”
