COULD our dog of the week, Lulu, relight your fire for a four-legged friend?

After almost six years in a home, the nine-year-old Patterdale Terrier is back at Dogs Trust Merseyside following a change in her owner’s circumstances.

According to staff at the centre Lulu loves nothing more than being out exploring and when she’s not enjoying an adventure, she loves playing with her human friends, chasing after toys.

When she does take a breather, she loves to have a fuss made of her by the team and has settled back into life at the centre.

Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Lulu is great fun and is in need of a family who like to be on the go.

"She has been great with everyone she has met, including the vets, and although she sometimes reacts to dogs when she’s on the lead out and about, she soon loses interest and is much happier sniffing and doing her own thing, so in the home she’d suit being the only dog.

"She doesn’t like to be left home alone so any time spent alone will need to be built up gradually. She can live with children of high school age and would love a secure garden to play in."
