A COMEDY night combining pizza and entertainment is returning to Wirral.

After a full-house for the launch show in March, The Slice of Comedy show is returning to Thornton Hough Village Club this Friday (June 28).

The show will be headlined by “joyously dark” Jenny Hart and support from the evening includes opening act Stephen Cookson with his “dry wit and deadpan delivery”.

And before Jenny brings the show to a close, the audience will be treated to a set from Welsh wit wizard Kevin Caswell-Jones. Describing himself as "undeniably among Wrexham’s 200 best comedians", Kevin is a veteran of the UK comedy circuit and a regular contributor to Viz comic.

The MC for the nights is quick-fire gag merchant Ben Turner described as “a world one liner championship and comedy cellar Yorkshire New Act of the Year finalist who has racked up 3m views on Facebook Reels and was included in the Daily Telegraph and The Poke’s funniest jokes of lockdown”.

The comedy night is the brainchild of Dean Boodaghians-Nolan, an actor who lives in the village who says as part of his passion to ensure the community he loves has a wide-range of entertainment options in a venue “that is already renowned for attracting brilliant performers for its live music nights”.

Dean said: “There are some fabulous acts booked in. We’ve a few tickets left so get yours for another great night of comedy.”

Doors will open at 6.30pm and the comedy starts at 8pm. Tickets can be bought via the booking page here.
