Wirral funeral directors rated among the UK's top three

Owens Funeral Directors has received a Certificate Of Excellence from Three Best Rated, which rates local tradespeople, for the fourth year running.

The family run business in Liscard now has 231 five-star reviews on the Funeral Guide platform. Ranked top on the funeral directors' ratings website, they have also been ranked top for value due to their commitment to keeping costs down for families.

Its owners, mother and daughter Lorraine and Alex Owens said: "We pride ourselves in treating people like our own family and delivering the very best service with the utmost compassion for people in their darkest time.

"We also understand that it’s been difficult for people out there, so we’re committed to making cremations and funerals as affordable as possible."

"What truly means the world to us, however, is the lovely words, cards and flowers we receive from families .

The family has developed a great reputation for going way above and beyond for bereaved families, whilst keeping costs to a minimum.

One of the things they offer is a ‘memory tree’ at their Liscard premises - with a personal bauble dedicated to each loved one they look after. They also provide families with Forget-me-not seeds.

They also have a bespoke jewellery service where Alex personally handcrafts ashes into beautiful, personalised pieces and they completely self-fund a memorial service every December for all the families who have lost loved ones.

The annual memorial service takes place at St. Alban’s church in Wallasey and each family member can take away a bauble after the service to place on their Christmas tree at home.
