MEET Bonnie, our dog of the week, who needs your help to find a place to call home.

The one-year-old Border Collie Cross arrived at Dogs Trust Merseyside through no fault of her own and the team are confident that this 'bouncy girl' will thrive in the right home.

She is described as 'a fabulous young dog who is brimming with potential'

She is clever, playful and will happily entertain herself by throwing her toys around and she loves nothing more than heading to the beach to splash about in the sea.

Georgina Lowery, Manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Bonnie has had ups and downs in her short life, but she has taken things in her stride and is a lovely girl.

"She loves her food and a tasty treat is definitely the way to win her over on first meeting her.

"She has spent time in one of our foster homes and settled in easily, but we would love her to find a forever home of her own."

She is said to pick up new tricks quickly, so she would love her new family to carry on with fun training sessions.

She is currently best as the only dog in the home as sometimes her enthusiasm gets the better of her so she would benefit from developing a few more social skills before she could potentially live with an equally playful canine companion.

She can live with children aged ten and over and although she isn’t used to being left alone too much, she adjusted well in her foster home to having some time on her own.
