A WOMAN out walking her dogs was rescued after getting stuck in the mud at Leasowe Bay.
Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team and RNLI Wirral Lifeguards were called to the scene on Thursday afternoon (June 20).
The coastguard team sent two mud rescue technicians out onto the mud to rescue her before bringing her back to a place of safety.
Two fire engines were also in attendance.
A post on Wirral Coastguard Rescue Team's Facebook page read: "Thanks to Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service for assistance with the recovery and washing our rescue equipment off after the incident.
"Please be aware there are patches of mud surrounding the rocks on the beach behind Leasowe Golf Club/Leasowe Castle HoteL.
"If you do get stuck: Stay calm, avoid moving too much and spread your weight by sitting down, this will stop you sinking further.
"Also discourage people from trying to rescue you as they may get stuck too.
"Call 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
